The organizers of the “Samsonas Rally Utena 2024” invite all speed lovers to Utena on 27 and 28 September, where the final title fight in the Lithuanian, Latvian and Baltic championships will take place. To make the event worthy of the final, the organizers prepare a particularly strong sporting side of the rally and reveal the first details.
Although the summer is only half over, work has been going on in the “Samsonas Rally Utena 2024” camp. The desire and ambition to raise the quality bar every year forces to look for new ways and solutions. All this is done so that the main actors of this theater are maximally satisfied with the stage on which they will play their roles. The search for innovation is determined not only by the internal ideas of the organizers but also by new external factors, of which there are at least several this year. One of them is that this year the “Samsonas Rally Utena 2024” will not only be the final chord of the Lithuanian Rally Championship, but also of the Latvian and Baltic Championships, so it will have to welcome the fastest participants of the Baltic region as well as possible.
Another external factor that changes the way and where the rally will take place is the repair work on the main Vilnius – Utena road (A14), which restricts access to the roads in the southern part of Utena. Therefore, the rally organizers’ team had to redirect their radar search for suitable roads for the rally to other regions, including the Zarasai and Anykščiai districts, where the wonderful gravel roads will complement the roads around Utena. A total of 13 special stages are planned, including two new night stages on the streets of Utena and 3 unique, one-off stages. Most of the special stages will have new, never-before-seen sections, so maximum cooperation between driver and co-driver will be required. There will be more than 30 kilometers of stages on the first day of the rally and more than 80 kilometers on the second day, for a total of more than 110 kilometers of spectacular and autumn-colored roads.
The documentary will be released in August, and more information about the upcoming Samsonas Rally Utena competitions can be found on Facebook and Instagram.
